Evaluation of Filming 10th December
We managed to complete our filming in the space of two days taking no longer than 4 hours altogether. We found it difficult to find spaces and free periods where all of us were free together therefore we filmed most of it during the time given to us in lessons as well as some free periods with just a few of us involved. We filmed the dealing scene first, this was difficult and took more preparation than the rest of the filming due to mise en scene and making the room look like the image we hoped to send the audience, which in this case was the image of an interview room. Once we sorted this out, the filming was quick and easy due to it mainly being within the 180 degree rule taking out any need for tricky shots. We made sure we filmed each shot atleast 3 times due to giving us more chance in finding a perfect fit for our finished product. The rest of the filming was easy, being taken in the corridors of the college, we were quick at placing the camera where we wanted it, taking 3 shots of the main character (Jack Sadler), picking up and going to the next area. Throughout the filming stage, we mainly used the tripod to keep the camera steady, making sure it was placed in properly, we had to do this carefully in order to keep it from falling and damaging. In one shot (the shot taken outside of the main characters feet, in a walking motion) we used a hand held stick that held the camera on the same way the tripod would, but this way we were able to follow the characters feet. One problem we found with this is it was difficult to follow his feet without wobbling the camera about, this would cause it to look poor quality towards the audience, therefore we used it, but with no motion involved.
