The Synopsis of our film - 'Behind The Lens'

Claire Adams, a previous victim of Christian Greeko finds herself with one more chance of living, after escaping the serial killer’s grasp she has never been able to forget his presence. On the 21st March 2007, Claire woke up in an unfamiliar room with her hands tied up, not knowing of her whereabouts or who she may be with. She wasn’t aware that shortly in her future lay the most terrifying position she would find herself in, a victim of Christian Greeko, a serial killer well known for his rich and famous killings, only including those who are not seen as deserving their money. She managed to escape thanks to the help of her Father and call the police leading to the psychopath being sentenced for life.

Our opening sequence will start on the 5th June 2009, two years after Claire's previous conviction. During the opening few scenes Claire finds herself in the damsel in distress position once again being kidnapped by one of Christian's men. The audience will find themselves asking the question, why does he want her? After our opening sequence, the story will then go back 2 years to before Claire's kidnapping for the first time.

The main protagonist of the story is Claire’s Dad, James Adams who is not shown in the opening sequence to cause an enigma and to later create a good entrance. He is a man full of commitment to his job as a personal bodyguard of the MP, Michael Webber. Michael Webber is an important man to the government and is the local candidate for the election of being prime minister. It is for this reason that Christian wants Claire Adams, in order to get to her dad and retrieve all the information he needs to assassinate Michael Webber, Michael has a bad personality and thinks of no one else but himself, it is for this reason that he should be dead in Christians eyes, but also that it would create an international upset, of which he gets his thrill from.


The film starts 2 years after the capture and escape of Claire, the opening sequence begins with a nightmare including Christian, Claire wakes up and gets ready for another day of college. She lives with her Uncle and cousins in order to hide her identity from Christian if he was to escape, but also due to her Dad spending a lot of time at work rather than at home. At the end of the opening sequence, Claire is kidnapped and taken away by the outside gang members of Christian Greeko. Due to a previous time in Christians life, he got acid, of which he was using to torture one of his victims spilt in his eye, it wasn’t enough to totally blind him but enough to cause his eye to be permanently blood shot, all of his gang members wear a red contact lens in the same eye in order to show that they respect him and obey, hence the name ‘Behind The Lens’.


Once the opening sequence finishes, the story goes back 2 years to before Claire’s first kidnapping when times were content, once she is kidnapped for the first time, it gets too much for James, he is an emotional wreck and has one thing on his mind and that is to rescue his daughter himself and have revenge on Christian. The evening of the kidnapping, he receives a call, on the other side of the line an unknown voice tells him that he has to make a decision, a trade, his daughter lives as long as he gives himself up and gives them the information they need on how they can assassinate Michael Webber. James finds himself having to drive fast, shoot accurately and keep himself hidden in order to save both Claire and Michael.
