The plan of what will be filmed for our opening sequence

We now have a final idea of what we will be filming and what will be done to get our final opening sequence of a thriller.

The opening sequence will start with a black screen, on this black background text will fade in with facts on kidnapping throughout the UK, this was an idea of mine being used to scare the audience and make them think how much it actually happens in the real world. We then film our first few shots including a load of pictures and cut out articles stuck to a wall, this will be part of a nightmare that our character Claire will wake up from a few seconds later. These images of the wall will be cut between another shot including a figure standing in a black surrounding, it is Chris Greeko looking at the ground, this hides his identity as the camera slowly zooms in on him. As the shots cut from one to another, the camera will slowly zoom in enough so that his face takes up the frame, he suddenly looks up and opens his eyes, the red eye is then eye catching to the audience and quite thrilling. Once she wakes up from this nightmare, we will film a few shots of her getting ready and then coming in contact with her cousin who she is living with. The next scene is Claire and her cousin talking at the breakfast table, Claire talks about her nightmare and why she thinks she is having them. This scene will also be quite chilling but is disrupted by the Uncle walking in asking Claires cousin whether she is 'ready to go'. The next shots are them leaving to work and college whilst Claire is then left at home alone, this will be obvious to the audience creating suspense making them think something is bound to happen.

The phone rings and Claire picks up, the caller is quiet and talks in a low pitch voice, it is suddenly that you are able to see by Claires reaction, she knows that voice and has heard it before. She chucks the phone away and hears a creek on the floorboards from upstairs. Claire walks towards the stairs slowly creating alot of suspense within the audiences' atmosphere. All of a sudden a figure in a suit will jump out from behind her knocking her out in seconds, the camera will tilt up showing the male figure putting in a red contact lens, this will be noticed as being seen earlier on in the opening sequence and therefore creating an enigma and raising questions. The opening sequence is then finished causing a cliffhanger and getting ready to go back in time.
